Ashutosh Rana’s sister gets medical help by his wife Renuka Shahane on train

Actress Renuka Shahane has stood up for the right kind of issues and this time she helped her close relative. Hubby Ashutosh Rana’s sister Kamini Gupta was travelling solo by train from Delhi to Mumbai when she suddenly complained of palpitations and chest pain. She conveyed her uneasiness on phone to brother Ashutosh Rana and wife Renuka Shahane.

  • That’s when Renuka used her presence of mind and quickly sent a tweet to the Railway Minister urging him to help her sister in law who needed medical help in train.

    Within 15 minutes of her tweet, Mr Suresh Prabhu immediately looked after her plea and ensured that her sister-in-law got medical attention. Renuka spoke about the incident with a popular daily, “My sister-in-law was travelling alone from Delhi to Mumbai, and she contacted us around 7.30 pm Saturday, saying she was feeling very unwell. We advised her to not panic and try and locate a railway staffer, while I tweeted to Mr Suresh Prabhu for help. The train was approaching Kota station, and within minutes, I was contacted by the railway staff asking for her compartment and seat numbers. Such promptness in responding to passengers in need is commendable.”

    She also tweeted a thank you message to the Railway Minster for his promptness:

     

    Soon after, Mr Suresh Prabhu replied back with a tweet:

    Ashutosh Rana’s sister Kamini Gupta also spoke about the incident. She said, “All of a sudden, I experienced palpitations followed by pain in the chest. I asked fellow passengers to see if a ticket checker or other railway staffers were around, and contacted my family in Mumbai. Fortunately, we were just minutes away from Kota station where doctors treated me. I was given medicines and told to relax. I’m alright now.”
