Kangana Ranaut’s next movie lands in trouble

Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut wished to make a film on the life of freedom fighter Rani Lakshmibai. But looks like her dream project will be just that a Dream. The reason being no big studio is aiming to take the risk of investing in such a mega project. Mega studios have incurred huge financial loss with films like ‘Bombay Velvet’ and ‘Mohenjo Daro‘. Therefore they are reluctant to invest in any future mega projects.

Kangana was quite eager to portray the role of the fierce historical queen. The script of the film was penned by Ketan Mehta. The feisty actress was all set to roll out the project. Now it seems that it will never take off.

  • Kangana Ranaut is busy shooting for Hansal Mehta’s ‘Simran’ in Atlanta. She was planning to start the shoot of her dream project after the wrap up within a few months. However now the makers are worried as no big studio is willing to come on board. With no finance in hand it is impossible for the maker to start shooting.

The makers were keen to cast Hollywood superstar Hugh Grant in the role of General Hugh Rose. But casting such a top actor would have cost them a bundle. Now with no financial support things are looking quite bleak for the project.

Looks like this project will also never see the light of the day as Sushmita Sen’s dream project on the same subject.
