Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has come to the rescue of filmmaker Karan Johar. He called up Maharashtra Navnirman Sena’s head honcho Raj Thackeray and requested him to let ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and ‘Raees’ release. This gesture by the Dabangg Khan known for going out of his way to help his friends has left Bollywood truly impressed.
For the uninitiated the MNS had threatened all the Pakistani artistes working in India to leave the country within 48 hours. This threat was issued in the wake of the heart-storming terrorist attack in Uri that killed 18 Indian soldiers. MNS has asked Karan Johar to delete all the scenes of Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan from his upcoming release ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ or they will not let it release. Not only Karan the makers of ‘Raees’ too were asked to remove Mahira Khan’s scenes from the film.
100 MNS workers were arrested outside Karan Johar’s office in Andheri yesterday. The troubled filmmaker was heard confessing that he feels that he is a vulnerable soft target. But Salman Khan also known as ‘Yaaron Ka Yaar’ came out to his rescue.
Sources said, “Salman Khan called up Maharashtra Navnirman Sena President, Raj Thackeray. He requested him to put an end to the matter and let ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and ‘Raees’ starring Shah Rukh and Mahira Khan release. Those in the industry who are aware of Salman’s call and support Karan are impressed by his gesture.”
