Are the makers of ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ now eyeing Shahid Kapoor?

After a lot of failed movies, we’ve finally got a hit with Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’. The movie has now entered the 100 crore club and the makers can’t be less happy about it.

It is said that The next collaboration that KriArj Entertainment will make will be with Shahid Kapoor, directed by Shree Narayan Singh.

Shahid is already enjoying all the success that his film ‘Udta Punjab’ garnered at the award functions and is currently shooting for the period drama ‘Padmavati’. He’s been flooded with scripts and he’s really liked one out of them which is written by Vipul K Rawal. Vipul had earlier written ‘Rustom’ and has been signed by Prernaa Arora for KriArj’s upcoming project.

Says sources, “Vipul K.Rawal had written a script called ‘Roshni’ (working title), for which he wanted to collaborate with Shahid Kapoor. He shared the idea with Shahid, who loved it and immediately agreed to come on-board. With the success of ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, KriArj is putting the project together by getting director Shree Narayan Singh on board. However, nothing can be confirmed as yet as not much is known at this juncture. Shahid is busy with ‘Padmavati’ and will talk about his new signings officially once he’s back.”

With a combination of these three, the film already sounds like a blockbuster, if at all it gets confirmed.
