Did Varun Dhawan remove Govinda’s name from ‘Judwaa 2’?

Varun Dhawan has been labelled as the New Age Govinda for his move on the dance floor and comic timing. The senior actor was not happy with the comparison and reacted with some sharp and hurtful words.

Govinda had lashed out at Varun while promoting his film ‘Aa Gaya Hero’ and said, “Ranveer Singh and Varun Dhawan both have a body like Salman Khan. But they can’t say it. If they call themselves as Salman Khan, then they won’t get films. They can’t afford to be against Khan. This is how the filmy world works. How can he (Varun) be like me? To become Govinda, he needs to be innocent, uneducated and a poor village boy. Varun is already a son of a director. In the last six years, he hasn’t done more than two films with his father, whereas I did 17 films with his father (David Dhawan).”

Though the ‘Badlapur’ star did not retaliate in kind he has finally made it clear that he has not forgiven the senior star for his criticism.

Varun Dhawan is gearing for his upcoming release ‘Judwaa 2’. The film is a remake of the Salman Khan’s hit flick of the same name. The film has a number of songs from the original being retained one of them being ‘Tan Tana Tan’, though most of the lyrics have been retained Govinda’s name is missing.

Yes, the original number had the lyrics, “Govinda hai hero aur Madhuri hai heroine” but that line has been removed from the new song featuring Varun, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapseee Pannu.

‘Judwaa 2’ starring Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu will be releasing on 29 September, 2017.
