Aamir Khan’s biopic ‘Dangal‘ which is based on the real life story of Indian wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Phogat, is a blockbuster at the box office. The movie has been breaking several records almost daily, but this has raised questions by certain section in the industry who believe that the huge numbers could possibly be rigged.
The overall collection in India stands at Rs 295 crore, but these figures are believed to be rigged. A leading news portal rhas raised a question mark on the box office business of Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’. A well-known journalist raised the question on social media too where she claimed that last time half of Regal cinemas was empty when she went for ‘PK’. She booked online tickets for ‘Dangal’ and the portal showed almost full, but when she went to see the movie, the theatre had 15% seats less.
The box ofice report of ‘Dangal’ means that the audiences have been flocking cinema halls, but this report has raised questions on the authenticity of the figures claiming them to be rigged.
