Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal‘ that set the cash registers ringing ever since its release on December 23, 2016, has been on a record-breaking spree. The movie has now become the second highest grosser of all time. In just a span of 17 days, the movie has minted almost Rs 624 crore worldwide beating the collection of Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ (Rs 583 crore) and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ (Rs 604 crore). Aamir Khan’s ‘PK’ stands at Rs 741 crore and it will be difficult for ‘Dangal’ to beat those numbers to emerge as the highest grosser of all time.
‘Dangal’ has raked in Rs 333.63 crore nett in India as the Sunday business has been a fabulous Rs 13.50 crore nett. The third weekend business is Rs 29.75 crore and that’s another record set by the movie as the third weekend business has beaten the previous third weekend numbers of ‘PK’ (Rs 26.75 crore nett), ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ (Rs 19.75 crore nett).
The movie is indeed turning out to be the biggest blockbuster of all times. ‘Dangal’ is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and also stars Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar in important roles.
