Riteish Deshmukh’s ‘Banjo’ is dull at the box office

Riteish Deshmukh and Nargis Fakhri’s ‘Banjo’ has not fared well at the box office. The film has managed to earn just Rs. 5.92 crores in its opening weekend. Though ‘Banjo’ released a week after Amitabh Bachchan’s and Taapsee Pannu’s social thriller’Pink’, it was unable to attract audience. The Soojiot Sircar movie has managed to overshadow ‘Banjo’.

The Ravi Jadhav directorial’s first-weekend business is Rs. 1.50 crore net approx. on Friday, Rs.1.75 crore net approx. on Saturday and Rs.2.25 crore net approx. on Sunday. The total collection of the musical drama comes to Rs.5.50 crore net approx.

The movie gathered some audiences in the areas of Maharashtra but suffered badly in the North circuits. Looks like the film failed to strike the right chord with the audience
