‘Toilet- Ek Prem Katha’ remains strong at the box office on Wednesday too

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Toilet- Ek Prem Katha‘ is going rock steady at the box office. The movie has broken the jinx of low box office numbers and has emerged to be a superhit with high collections from the first day itself. The movie has done a business of Rs 6.50 crore nett on Wednesday which has taken its six day total to Rs 88 crore nett. The movie did witness a drop as compared to the numbers on Monday and Tuesday but these two days had the benefit of Janmashtami and Independence Day whereas Wednesday was a normal working day, so the drop was expeted. Still, the movie only showed a drop of 45% as compared to its opening day. (Also Read: ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’ movie review: Akshay Kumar rocks once again)

On Thusrday, there is a minor holiday in certain parts so it could certainly help boost the numbers of the movie. Going by the current trend, the movie could earn anywhere around Rs 95 crore nett in its first week and the Friday business will give an idea of how much the movie can do in terms of its lifetime business.

Clearly, Akshay Kumar’s movie has surpassed the business of Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ quite easily.
