‘English Vinglish’ director Gauri Shinde’s second directorial movie ‘Dear Zindagi‘ will hit the screens tomorrow. The movie is highly awaited for many reasons. Two most important reasons being the presence of Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt’s central character. While SRK has an extended cameo in the movie, Alia is the most important character of the movie. Let’s see how these two actors bring zest to this story.

The plot revolves around a budding cinematographer Kaira who is searching for a true lover, a fulfilling relationship. While she may depict that she hates couples and relationships, she is a lonely soul in search of a life partner. Her relationships with three men at different junctures of her life, be it with Raghuvendra (Kunal Kapoor ), Sid (Angad Bedi), Rumi (Ali Zafar), Kaira is unable to find her true soulmate and ends up getting hurt all the time. Enter Dr Jehangar Khan (Shah Rukh Khan) aka Jug, a therapist who helps Kaira to overcome her personal life hurdles and shows her that there’s much more to life. While SRK’s character enters the story just before the interval, his charming persona is and his endearing role of a life coach will surely impress the audiences. How does Kaira eventually come out of her depressed state of mind? Will Jug succeed in changing Kaira’s negative perception about the world? Will sparks fly between Jug and Kaira? You will find it out in the movie.

Talking about the performances, Alia Bhatt as Kaira is a natural and this is one of her best performances till date. SRK has never ever played a character like this and he is damn sweet in his portrayal of a mature therapist churning out life goals to his patients. The soundtrack of the movie composed by Amit Trivedi is soothing and blends beautifully with the backdrop of the film. The picturesque locations of Goa depicted in the movie help take the story ahead. The cinematography by Laxman Utekar is neat. Each song in the movie is situational and fits perfectly in the story-line.

Overall, the movie is not the typical run-of-the-mill romance saga and it will strike a right chord with the masses for it has lot of positive vibes to it.
