Akshay Kumar is turning into a messiah for the families of martyred soldiers. The actor is once again in news for coming to the aid of NK Narpat Singh Rathore, who lost is life fighting ULFA terrorists near Digboi in Tinsukia, Assam. He left behind his wife and three daughters and a son. Akshay donated Rs 9 lakh to them.
Akshay Kumar is being lauded by the Indian army personnel for his large heartedness in helping the families of the soldiers who lost their life fighting terrorists. After the Uri attack he had donated a handsome amount to the families of the soldiers who were killed in the attack. Recently, three Army jawans, including NK Narpat Singh Rathore, were martyred in an encounter with suspected ULFA terrorists near Digboi in Tinsukia, Assam.
When the news reached Akshay through his friends in the army, he immediately called up N K Narpat Singh’s wife and offered condolences, and also supported her financially by transferring Rs 9 lakh in her account. When Narpat Singh’s wife thanked him for his gesture, he said that it was his duty.
He said, “We actors are reel life heroes but people like Narpat Singh Ji are real life hero. My feelings are with the family and I will stay in touch with your family in future too.”
Akshay Kumar himself a army brat is quite vocal about his love towards the Defence Forces. Earlier too he had donated Rs 9 lakh to martyred BSF jawan Gurnam Singh’s family.
