Akshay Kumar pays tribute to BSF martyrs in Jammu

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is known for his patriotic streak. The actor has time and again praised the Indian soldiers for their bravery and sacrifices. He has also donated a handsome amount for the well being of the Martyrs families. Recently he was spotted visiting a BSF base camp in Jammu to pay tribute to soldiers who have lost their lives in ceasefire violations and encounter.

Akshay’s visit to the BSF camp comes at a time when ceasefire violations have taken a toll on many soldiers and civilians. A violation on 6th November, martyred two soldiers and killed 3 civilians in Poonch.

The 49-year-old actor who has essayed the role of a patriot many times on screen, admitted before soldiers that he was only a reel hero and that it was them who were the true patriots. “Fortunate that I got the opportunity to come and meet you. I have always said I’m a reel hero, you are the real hero.”

He then paid a tribute to the martyrs,

On work front, the Khiladi is busy filming ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’ with Bhumi Pednekar. He has wrapped up the shoot of ‘Jolly LLB 2’ with Huma Qureshi. Next, he will be seen playing a hockey player who will lead India to Olympic glory in ‘Gold’.
