Actor Aamir Khan who will be seen in the role of a wrestler in the upcoming movie ‘Dangal’ which is a biopic based on the life of ace Indian wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat has had to undergo rigorous physical training for his role of a wrestler. If you see the trailers of the movie, you will see a flabby Aamir who is training his daughters, Geeta and Babita Phogat in wrestling and then you see another glimpse of the actor in his younger days in the wrestling camp. So, it was indeed a huge task for the actor to lose the excess weight he had gained for certain scenes.
Speaking about his weight loss journey at an event, Aamir said, “It was very scary. I reached 97 kilos and I had only 5 months in hand. I was so worried that I will not lose my weight. I used to feel very horrible when I used to see myself in mirror when I was getting fat. But when I had to lose weight I panicked but I tried convincing myself and say think of today. I used to get depressed but then I had to hit back. It was very difficult for me to put on weight but if I like the script, I will do this kind of a film again.”
We are quite sure that all the hard work will pay off for sure. Also check out a workout video shared by UTV Pictures:
