Celebrity author Chetan Bhagat joked about the scrapping of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes on the social network. He was soon trolled by the Twitterati. They took the author to task for his comments. It is truly funny that whenever Chetan tweets to put forward his view on any subject under the sun, he is trolled.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced last night that notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 stands abolished from November 9 midnight. The step was taken by the PM to tackle the issue of black money. Soon the social media was abuzz with discussions, jokes and memes on the subject. Chetan too added his point by tweeting, “Ladies and Gentlemen, cash, is the new trash.”
No sooner did he do so he was flooded with retorts from people on social media, who targeted his books.
