After the Uri Attacks, the political party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena called for a ban on Pakistani artists in India. This ban has led to a huge controversy and B-Town celebs’ reactions on the ban are divided.
Recently, actor Ranbir Kapoor was quizzed on this ban and his reply is sort of diplomatic. He said, “I don’t want to sound preachy and like a ‘healer talker’ but we are living in some hard times right now. I hope that you guys don’t get swept away with the bitterness and negativity, the violence that’s happening around the world and around us.” He further added, “I want you guys to stay sweet, gentle, amazing and beautiful. Because even though the world may think that it’s a shitty place to live in, it is beautiful. You guys are the force. And the force is going to be with you, forever.”
Now, isn’t he playing safe with his reply? Also, don’t forget that Ranbir Kapoor is sharing screen space with Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan in the Karan Johar directorial ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. In fact, actor Fawad Khan has already gone back to Pakistan, not due to the pressure of any political party but only because his wife is expecting their second child. With this ban, it is going to be heavily difficult for Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ to get a clean chit as the movie has a few scenes starring Fawad Khan.
