On October 12, actress Kangana Ranaut suffered an accident in the USA, but thankfully escaped unhurt. The ‘Queen’ actress has been shooting there for her film ‘Simran’ helmed by Hansal Mehta since a week.
The accident happened when their team was getting back from the shooting location that was outside Georgia to their hotel in Atlanta, the state’s capital. An insider said, “A local driver was behind the wheel and was driving in the leftmost lane (meant for fast-moving traffic) on highway 381. Suddenly, he started coughing profusely and then blacked out while on the move.”
As the driver black out, Kangana’s bodyguard tried to control the car’s movement but he couldn’t and the car swerved to the right before banging into an iron fence.
The source added, “The entire unit is stationed there. So, she didn’t want to stall the shoot due to the accident, despite the fact that the makers were ready to take a break.”
Producer Shailendra Singh added, “It was a narrow escape. It’s a miracle that they had no injuries. Kangana is a brave girl. She refused to take a break and has resumed the shoot.” The actress could not be reached for a comment.
