Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’ has incensed the locals in the local rural belt of Mathura. The Mathura saints held a meeting expressing anger on the stroy line of the film that is going against their traditional beliefs. A Mathura sadhu has declared a reward of Rs one crore to anybody who brings the tongue of the director of the film.
Sources said that Hindu saints were the part of a Mahapanchayat to protest against the story line of the film. A sadhu Phooldol Behari Dass Maharaj asked the producer of movie to change the title or they will not allow him to shoot in the Braj region.
‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’ that is being shot in several rural areas of Mathura district. The makers of the film are apparently going against the tradition. This has angered the saints in the area. The reason being that as per tradition, men and women of Nandgaon and Barsana villages do not marry each other out of respect to Lord Krishna and Radha. While, on the one hand, Lord Krishna hailed from the village of Nandgaon, Radha came from Barsana.
