Ranveer Singh apologized on the Jack & Jones ad controversy

Actor Ranveer Singh found himself in the midst of a controversy owing to a Jack & Jones commercial where he is seen lifting a girl wearing a miniskirt with the tagline ‘Don’t Hold Back Take your work home’. This did not go down well with many online enthusiasts and some people from the film industry also expressed their displeasure over the ad.

‘Rang De Basanti’ fame actor Siddharth said that the ad was objectionable and called the poster demeaning the image of a woman. The brand owners took to their micro-blogging site and apologized for the poster by saying, “Regret that one of our billboards has caused distress. We didn’t intend to offend anyone with one of our billboards.”

Actor Ranveer Singh also issued an apology on the incident. The statement reads, “It was important to give the brand creative freedom while designing their campaign, but I guess we got it wrong on one of those billboards and I’m sorry this happened but it’s a thing of the past.. we rectified it immediately by having that hoarding taken down ASAP from everywhere over 30 cities overnight. I treat all women with the utmost respect both professionally and personally and would never do anything to disrespect them”

Ranveer Singh has proved his humbleness and we really appreciate it.
