Shera, Salman Khan’s bodyguard given a clean chit in assault case

The physical assault case booked against Salman Khan‘s bodyguard Shera has finally reached a conclusion with the bodyguard being given a clean chit in the case. The Bandra police investigating the case has said that the complaint filed against him by Atar Umar Qureshi was fake and just to tarnish his image.

Qureshi had accused Shera of physically assaulting him and breaking his collar bone by holding him at gunpoint. Soon after, Shera was detained by DN Nagar Police station and booked under IPC 326, 503 and 504. At the time, Shera had given a statement saying, “On Tuesday, I went to meet a friend at Kokilaben Hospital and from there to Pop Tate’s which is where we had the verbal argument. I didn’t get down from my car so there is no question of hitting anyone.”

Shera said that at 2 am in the night, someone tried to stop his car near Amitabh Bachchan’s Juhu bungalow and had purposefully fallen infront of his car. A senior cop told a leading tabloid, “We started searching for witnesses and came across taxi and auto-drivers who in their statement reiterated that someone had fallen down on the road to stop a car and injured himself in the process.”

He added that when Qureshi was questioned on this, he did admit that post the argument with Shera, he had planned to beat him and book a complaint to tarnish his image. This plan was to extort money from Salman Khan and his bodyguard.

It’s a happy ending for the Khan and his bodyguard!
