Actor Varun Dhawan recently made a shocking comment on the ban imposed by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena on Pakistani actors. The ‘Dishoom‘ star refused to take sides in the current controversy but expressed that he is with the government and respects all its decisions.
Maharashtra Navnirman Sena has issued a ban on Pakistani actors working in India. The decision was taken after the gruesome Uri attacks where 18 jawans lost their lives. The MNS has given a warning to the Pakistani actors to leave the country within 48 hours. They have added that movies starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan will not be allowed to release in the state.
Most of Bollywood has come out in support of the Pakistani actors, with a view that entertainment industry should be kept away from politics. Amidst this banter, Varun Dhawan has added his views.
The actor said, “I will follow what the government of India will say. Jo bhi Bharat sarkar kahegi woh sar ankhon par. The government has to say that. It (ban) has to come from the government. And if they take any steps, we will have to see what they do after that. If by banning actors, terrorism can be stopped then they should do it. That is something the government needs to decide first.”
