Superstar Salman Khan whose films have been minting at the box-office maintained the record with his last release ‘Sultan’ too. The Khan has also launched his production house and has been making some meaningful films under his banner. His next production is based on a man who ran a male striptease club in the United States.
Yes, Salman Khan productions will now produce the rags-to-riches story of Somen Banerjee, a Bengali immigrant who founded Chippendales a popular nightspot famous for its male striptease performances in the US.
Salman Khan confirmed the news and said, “A Bengali man who moved from India to America in the late 60s, struggled and created one of America’s most iconic brands. We are going to tell the story of Somen Banerjee, a man driven by fierce ambition on celluloid.”
Amar Butala of Salman Khan Productions too added, “The story of Somen Banerjee has all the shades of a gangster film – raw greed, power and violence. We are currently working on the script and the plan is two-fold – to produce a feature film and to develop it as a miniseries as well.”
Salman is at present busy shooting for the second schedule of Kabir Khan’s film ‘Tubelight’ in Manali. The movie also stars Chinese actress Zhu Zhu.
